Four Star Serviced Apartments in the East Of England

If you’re planning on visiting the UK on business or a holiday in the East of England then this will interest you.

I’ve recently finished a website for a friend who has converted one of his historic barns into a luxury four star serviced apartment. The cottage is newly constructed, was completed in March 2006 and offers
all modern facilities. It is very cosy being 400 square feet and is
perfect for the business traveler or holiday let.

Wireless Internet connection is available for
your laptop. Flat screen plazma TV with High Definition screen. DVD
player with selection of DVD’s available. CD player and radio. There is
a TV and DVD player in the bedroom. Multiple electric sockets. Books,
games and puzzles ensure that you will not get bored.

The service whilst you are staying at Panfield House is outstanding and includes. Daily maid service.
When you are out on business, visiting, shopping whatever the reason;
we come in clean and refresh the facilities.

Office
facilities from the main house are available, printing of documents,
faxing, photocopying, just ask. When you book you should indicate to us
a time of arrival. We will ensure that in the fridge has bottles of
still and sparkling water, a pint of fresh milk, butter. A small loaf
of fresh bread, jam, and some fruit. Tea, sugar, coffee instant and
fresh. Enough cutlery and crockery for two people.

Feel free to call Ursula on +44 (0) 1376 326345 – Fax: +44 (0) 1376 552233 –
Cel: +44 (0) 7860 292930 to arrange your booking.

They will even make arrangements to pick you up from any UK airport. When you call tell them Kevin suggested you ring.

Mutual Advantage happy to Recommend Zen-Cart shopping cart

Oh the joys of using the internet as a marketing tool.

Zen-Cart, possibly the best and most versatile, ‘free’ shopping cart programme you can use.

Any business that doesn’t have an online presence is wasting a valuable resource.
Any retailer that doesn’t (or worse still, won’t) sell online, needs their head examined.

The old arguments that it costs too much to set-up an e-commerce shopping cart , no longer hold water. Sure there are costs but there is now no real need for you to have to pay for good quality, stable, secure and reliable software. My company, Mutual Advantage Ltd, is more than happy to recommend Zen-Cart as the best and most versatile, ‘free’ shopping cart programme you can use.

When you consider that some commercial shopping cart programmes can cost £700 or more (and that’s before you even get anyone to install and customise it for you). It makes good business sense to investigate how good £700 worth of customisation and integration will make your business look to new customers.

Online Chip and Pin Security Fears

Here in the UK we’ve finally reached PIN DAY.

In other words, to improve security and deter fraud, if you want to pay for something using a credit or debit card.  You must now use a four digit P.I.N. (personal identification number) to authorise the payment at the sales counter.

While I’m 100% behind the stand against card fraud, there is one type of potential fraud that I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere else and it may affect you.

Be aware that if you buy something ONLINE you will NOT be asked for your four digit PIN number.
Your four digit pin number is ONLY to be used in counter sales.

If you buy online you WILL need the THREE digit CVV number from the back of your card.

If anyone wants your four digit PIN number ONLINE – there’s a good chance it’s either a fraud or the merchant doesn’t know what he’s doing and I wouldn’t buy from them anyway.

A Google Desktop Warning

If you are using Google desktop you need to configure it properly or risk a lot more than you think.

"Unless you configure Google Desktop very carefully, and few people
will, Google will have copies of your tax returns, love letters,
business records, financial and medical files, and whatever other
text-based documents the desktop software can index," EFF Staff
Attorney Kevin Bankston said.

I found this story penned by John Leydon for The Register and though it worth of your attention.

I for one would like to keep my private things …. private.  As the story hints at, if you have problems, it could be a real bonus for among others, the tax man 🙁

For those of you reading this.  Always think about security.  Just ‘cos a programme works on your computer doesn’t mean it’s safe!

I’m sure any security ‘itches’ with programmes or applications written by (or for) big companies will get resolved but ….

Sometimes in internet world it’s best not to be on the bleeding edge.

A look at dieting and your metabolism.

In my quest to provide new information to new clients I have recently started to follow the advice of certain well know gurus. Not because they ‘say’ do this and you ‘will’ earn cold hard cash, but because my own experiments and testing over the years has proved them right.

That and the fact that over the holiday period I did put on a lot of weight. Didn’t we all?

Anyhow, rather than just start up some diet or fitness plan that would go out of the window I took things a step further. I did my research and found that I really did need to boost my metabolism if I wanted to reshape my body.
